Before you buy

This is a hardwired replacement or installation product, not a battery-only peel-and-stick alarm. Have a qualified electrician confirm wiring, mounting, placement, local requirements and compatibility with any interconnected alarms. Detects smoke and carbon monoxide; it is not a combustible-gas or general air-quality monitor.

How it works

The 85 dBA alarm at 10 feet and voice warning operate locally. It can work as a standalone hardwired alarm or interconnect with models specifically listed as compatible in the manual. Do not connect it to an arbitrary existing alarm network. The listed system limit is 18 compatible devices, including no more than 12 smoke alarms. No phone alerts or monitoring service are included.

Power, fit and care

120V AC, 60Hz, with two AA alkaline backup batteries (3V total). Exact-part dimensions: 5.59-inch diameter × 2.3-inch height. Indoor operating range: 40°F–100°F, 10–95% relative humidity. Test weekly, replace backup batteries when indicated, and replace the alarm at end of life or ten years, whichever comes first. Follow the supplied manual for cleaning and placement.
